Long blog post.

I haven't been updating my blog, and also my YouTube channel. I don't know why. Maybe I got frustrated ever since my previous boss, who actually promised me an increase in salary, a new program for my science classes, and also a new science laboratory for high school, did not rehire me.

Why?

I asked our Academic Coordinator why our Directress decided that the probationary teachers, including me, were not rehired by the school. She told me that the number of students for the schoolyear decreased, so that's why she decided that the senior teachers will be retained. So I was like, okay, it's fine.. BUT its already May and most of the schools are not accepting applicants anymore because they are starting their summer seminars, or they are preparing for the upcoming schoolyear.

I have no grudge against my previous employer, but she shouldn't have told me all her plans right? I didn't know that that would actually happen.

So I claimed all my stuff from the school, and learned that some of the probationary teachers were rehired. AND there are applicants inside her office. WTF. I can't think of any reason of not rehiring me. From the student evaluation, I got a grade of 4.83 out of 5. Our academic coordinator gave me an Excellent grade. SO WHY?? :((

I called my coteacher, who is the closest to me, and ask some stuff. Then I learned, there are "personal" reasons as to why I wasn't rehired. Anyway, let's just say that their family runs the school and her daughter is actually the Guidance Counselor of the school. I also learned before from a student that our GC didn't like me because i am "suplada"(snob), "may attitude", and "maarte". So if she is mature enough, why would she tell a STUDENT stuff about me? Good thing she didn't doctored my student evaluation, because she's the one who conducted that. LOL

Anyways, so I moved on, I immediately texted my friend and asked if their company is hiring ESL teachers. She said yes, so I applied. I also asked her if I need to prepare something, or what to expect. She said everything's easy and just update my resume. I went to their office in Makati, and I was given an exam.

I was super shocked. UPCAT exam ba ito?!

The exam was yes, HARD. So I didn't expect to pass anymore. She messaged me the other night, and told me that yes, I didn't pass :( Her exam was easier than mine because I applied for the Essay department, and her department is Summary.

Now, I'm sitting here in front of my computer, playing Baking Life and Nightclub City on Facebook and browsing at Jobstreet.com and JobsDB.com

I applied online almost everyday. Not one of them called.

FRUSTRATED.
